Working Group: Sustainable Living
Sustainable living encompass considerations like building design, materials and construction, (household) energy consumption, appliances and services related to the passive use, as well as the (inter)active design of the building, products and services accompanying it. This working group will also address issues of shared community spaces, sustainable quarters, local air quality, neighborhood and community projects that aim to enhance the quality of living (together) and reduce the level of consumption (i.e. social cohesion and inclusion), as well as waste management strategies, e.g. sorting, reduction and recycling.
The working group on sustainable living explores potential interdependencies with the other working groups on sustainable society, moving and consuming. Special attention will also be paid to addressing challenges identified in the mega-trend of the ageing of European society.
