Catalyzing Action: EU Sustainable Lifestyles Roadmap & Action Plan to 2050 Conference registration is open now! On November 26 & 27 the SPREAD Sustainable Lifestyles 2050 project will present its most recent outcomes. The highly interactive conference will bring together policy makers, business, civil society, research, design and many others in Brussels. For the first time, the SPREAD Sustainable Lifestyles 2050 European Social Platform project will present the roadmap and action plan for sustainable lifestyles from today until 2050.
The roadmap outlines opportunity spaces to foster, enable and accelerate more sustainable living practices across Europe which are critical to achieving Europe’s 2020 strategy. The SPREAD project has quantified Sustainable Lifestyles in 2050 as a material footprint of 8 000 kg. It has developed scenarios of four possible futures and pathways to reach the societies that support 8 000 kg sustainable lifestyles. It has identified current trends and promising practice of more sustainable ways of living already being revealed today!
Participants will have the chance to learn more about the outcomes of the project, discuss their own ideas and actions to activate the EU Sustainable Lifestyles Roadmap starting in 2013 and get inspired by different promising practices for sustainable lifestyles from all across Europe.
