SPREAD Sustainable Lifestyles 2050 project successfully kicked-off

Addressing the challenge of maintaining or improving quality of life of an ageing European society while at the same time reducing current levels of energy, transport and resource use: that is the purpose of a new EU funded project. It will bring together different stakeholders – from business, research, policy and civil society – to develop a vision for sustainable lifestyles in 2050. Through creativity and optimism the project team aims to create straightforward visualisations of future scenarios and to find the best ways to mainstream promising sustainable practices and promote societal innovation.
The route has been prepared at an inspiring and constructive project kick-off meeting in Wuppertal, 1st and 2nd February 2011. All 10 project partners met to share expectation, hopes and objectives and to build a solid and concrete network to develop the project.
